What We Believe

The following are the core beliefs of Word and Worship Ministries based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

We Believe there is only one God! - Deuteronomy 6:4

We Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that he is the Son of God according to the flesh (Romans 1:3) and very much the eternal God incarnate (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16)

We Believe that the Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-3

We Believe that Salvation is only through belief in Jesus Christ and in his name Acts 4:12. To be saved we must be born again by water baptism and spirit (John 3:3-5). One must repent of all their sins, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Ghost with initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives utterance. Acts 2:39; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-6.

We Believe in the rapture of the church, the catching away of the saints to be with the Lord forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; Revelations 4:1

We Believe in holy living. Hebrews 12:14

We Believe that the bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 18:30; Proverbs 30:5; Revelation 22:18-19
We believe the King James Version is the best English translation and is the standard for this church.

We Believe in the manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Ghost. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, divine healing, helps and government. Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11
